Data Acquisition, Inc. (dai) has been producing the industry's most reliable, and easiest to use, traffic counters since 1985, primarily for the Government and Commercial Contractor sectors.  Dai was started by a group of traffic engineers who wanted something better for traffic surveying than what was available at the time.  The results of their efforts created the Microcounts line of traffic counters/classifiers. These counters are noted for their ease of use, reliability and flexibility.

It is dai's policy to supply the traffic counting industry with equipment that is reliable, easy to use and inexpensive.  We are constantly sriving to improve the reliability and performance of all our existing equipment, as well as introducing new products to the industry to further these goals.

On July 1, 1996 Data Acuisition, Inc. was acquired by Basicon, Inc., an Oregon corporation.  Basicon was the original supplier of dai's electronics when they first began, and has worked with the original owners of dai since then.  Our manufacturing facilities are now located in Tigard, Oregon.

Since acquistion, we have expanded the MicroCounts line of counter/classifiers with the MicroCounts V, introduced the Model 1111 Calibrator, the Model 1110 Air Hose Tester, WinCounts software, and a family of turning movement counters: The MicroTally 4, MicroTally 12 , the MicroTally 16, and WinTally software.
